Thesis
Thesis builds brands on Bitcoin. Not as a flag-planting exercise but as their method. They believe autonomy is non-negotiable, and they back that conviction with capital, code, and projects they create from scratch. Every product they ship argues the same position, that the information defining our lives belongs to us.
When Thesis came to us, they had conviction, projects, and pedigree, but no shared language for any of it. Most venture studios brand around what they pick. Thesis wanted a brand that argued a position. The name itself was already a claim. A thesis is a hypothesis defended with evidence, and every product Thesis ships is exactly that, a bet that tomorrow's technology will prioritize personal integrity over tech hype.
For their positioning, we coined the term counterventure. It names what they do as a studio that creates ideas from the inside instead of waiting for them to walk in, operating against the extractive defaults of the venture model. The word carries the category, the attitude, and the stance in a single move.
The voice built around it is adult punk. Spirited defiance tempered with wisdom. Conviction without sophomoric edge. It speaks plainly about being unafraid to make guesses, restoring autonomy, finishing what Bitcoin started. It gives the brand permission to speak truth to empowerment without devolving into a middle finger.
The visual system pulls from indie hacker zines and early computing. Hand-drawn spheres, gears, and gritty textures lean into the samizdat feel of a movement printed and passed along. Harber, a dot-gridded display type, holds the texture of a printout from a different internet. Antique Legacy Semibold gives the system its clarity. Electric lime dials up the rebellious spirit against an otherwise black-and-white palette. As for the logo, an asterisk mark sits somewhere between a footnote and a flag, an annotation that belongs next to an argument.
Every thesis is a bet. Some get revised and some get reinforced. For Thesis, Bitcoin remains the bet and autonomy remains the expectation.
